Good Work Issue #4
Getting going in 2022, Impact Investing, Lush Cosmetics and BP's Bernard Looney.
Hello,
A very happy new year and a warm welcome to the fourth issue of Good Work.
Whether you are reading this at an office desk, a kitchen table or somewhere in-between I hope you are having a positive, productive, and healthy start to 2022.
I’ve found myself double checking the date a few times since January 1st, not just because it’s a new year but because in the era of COVID the recent months and years have felt like a bit of a blur. The mixture of rapid change, coupled with a slower pace of life and disruption to the usual markers of the year’s progress have made the recent times a little muddled in my memory.
Change and its pace was the theme of an insights piece I wrote this month. Remember for years when everything was to be done by 2020? Well, now it seems to be 2030, or even 2050.
2030 is too far away for a deadline. And 2050? Well, that’s not a date, that’s a denial.
We believe that 2022 is time to make that change.
The team here are having some fantastic conversations with all different types of organisations looking to make a positive change in 2022, I’ll share some of the common threads next month. But if you are looking to develop your own ESG credentials and connect better with your staff, then contact us today.
Happy reading and let’s get going with the year!
