Why staff should volunteer...on company time.
The act of volunteering is a wide one, it can be everything from litter picking or serving at a soup kitchen, through to delivering a careers talk or being a governor at school, a mentor or offering pro bono skills. We know it’s good, but also believe it’s much better when done on company time. We tell you five reason why.

“I found the haircut really sat outside of their normal everyday experience”
Change often takes a long time.
But occasionally it happens in an instant. For Joshua Coombes, his life changed in a flash, when one evening the young London based hair stylist fell into conversation with a homeless man. He noticed his ragged, matted hair and as he had his scissors and clippers with him, thought a haircut might lift his spirits. He offered to do one there and then on the street, the man accepted and this was the moment the #DoSomethingForNothing movement that encourages people to connect their skills and time to those who need them began. Dive into this remarkable story.
